This guy with his cute smile has created a video that collected more than 11 billion views. Can you imagine? His real name is Mark Edward Fischbach, however, he is more known on social media as Markiplier. He was born in Hawaii but during his career, he moved to America,California where he could find more resources for his content. Besides uploading videos on YouTube, Markiplier is the co-founder of clothing company CLOAK. CLOAK is a lifestyle apparel brand that Markiplier created “for gamers, by gamers”. The second owner of the CLOAK is Jacksepticeye, also a famous Youtuber. But CLOAK is not only a clothing brand but  a team. It is the name of the community of streamers and gamers that are famous in that field. In one of his interviews, Markiplier mentioned “Our goal in building this brand is to give gamers a voice. We want to create a brand that listens to what we need and gives us what we are missing. Most importantly, we want CLOAK to be a brand that streamers will be proud to represent. That is the pounding heart of CLOAK.”

 

 

Markiplier’s channel’s content is mainly about indie and horror games such as The Dark Descent and its sequel, Garry’s Mod, Happy Wheels, Surgeon Simulator, SCP – Containment Breach, Slender and the Eight Pages, among others. He also works with other famous YouTubers and streamers, which helps him to increase his activity and also the number of followers. For example, On November 15, 2019, Markiplier created a new channel with fellow YouTuber Ethan Nestor called “Unus Annus”, a channel that planned to upload a video every day for one year, after which the channel would be deleted along with its videos. The channel unexpectedly rose to early success, gaining 1 million subscribers in its first 5 days and 4.56 million in its last few minutes, and over 11.5 million video views in its first week. However, Following a final 12-hour live stream that peaked at over 1.5 million concurrent viewers, the channel was deleted by Markiplier and Nestor on November 14, 2020, at 12:00 a.m.

 

He doesn’t like to talk about his personal life a lot. The only information is that he has been dating Amy Nelson since 2015. She is also a streamer and YouTuber and even posted videos on his videos.

 

Now he has more than 29.8 million subscribers on YouTube and his total views are 16.2 billion. So due to his YouTube subscribers amount every year he earns between $10 and $20 million from his various social media endeavors. In 2017, he earned $12.5 million, and in 2018, he earned $17.5 million, which was enough to make him the sixth highest-paid YouTube star in the world.
