Kaf, 花譜, pronounced “Kafu”, is a Japanese female Virtual Singer on YouTube. She is a performer signed to KAMITSUBAKI studio. In addition to releasing original songs, she often covers Japanese language songs. With the concept of a virtual singer reaching out to the real world, her music videos often place her in various real life places. Kaf is just like any 17 years old girl, living somewhere in Japan, and she could be anywhere but is found nowhere. Kaf made her YouTube channel on October 18, 2012, at the age of 14. In 2018, on New Year’s Eve, Kaf participated in the Count0 virtual music event. On September 11, 2019, Kaf released her first full length CD album, called Kansoku (観測). One year later, on March 14, 20201, Kaf unveiled a new outfit and hairstyle to signify the beginning of a new period in her career. Later, on October 10, it was announced that she would be collaborating with CeVIO AL, a vocal synthesizer. Her voicebank had to be released in the winter of 2020. In March 13, 2021, during Kaf’s second one man live “ Fukakai Two Q2”, Kaf and four of her fellow KAMITSUBAKI performers announced they were forming a musical unit named “ Virtual Witch Phenomenon”. One of Kaf’s biggest fans is AZKi , who is a female Japanese Virtual YouTuber and singer.
