Shilpa Shetty Kundra made the country proud when she won the global reality show Big Brother. However, even after her success in other spheres of life, Shilpa experienced ups and downs in Bollywood. In 2007 she became a member of Celebrity Big Brother, one of British TV’s largest reality shows. The program had controversies related to race discrimination.

 

 

When she remained in the home, Shilpa was a sufferer of racism and bullying by opposite fellow contestants, including Jade Goody, Jo O’Meara, and Danielle Lloyd. Her public disputes with Jade made headlines back then, along with their claimed racist comments, which led to her removal from the program.

 

After enduring relentless bullying from her fellow competitors on Big Brother, Shilpa Shetty Kundra became emotional. This event happened when Jade and Jackiey joined Big Brother along with their mother, Jack Tweed. Other housemates mocked Shilpa’s accent while they also ridiculed her cooking skills which made Shilpa feel miserable.

 

However, despite all odds with support from people throughout India and abroad, she won the show who admired how bravely she stayed back for so many weeks without breaking down under pressure. Also, Jade apologized to Shilpa after the reality show ended, and she asserted that she had forgiven her.

 

Shilpa Shetty Kundra is a household name in India; she’s been on the TV screens for over two decades. Besides acting in movies, she’s also spoken regarding animal rights and feminism. In 2006 Shilpa lent her voice to PETA for their movement against the control of wild animals in carnival shows.

 

In 2015, Shilpa Shetty lanced her personal Yoga DVD and associated with various health campaigns like the Fit India Movement. Apart from this, the government of India granted her the award called Champions of Change for working on the Swachh Bharat Mission cleanliness campaign. Since 2009, Shetty is the owner of the Indian Premier League team, the Rajasthan Royals, and recently became a critic for the Super Dancer show airing on Sony Television Asia.

Shilpa Shetty was a model and actress who commenced her profession in 1991 after finishing 10th standard. Her career as a model began with Limca, followed by many other ads and commercials until she grew into a star. Shilpa Shetty has completed 28 years in Bollywood this year. In 1993, she initiated her appearance with a hit film called Baazigar; besides Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol, they were also the movie’s actors. Though she says that it was never planned to be an actor, joining films happened by chance.

Shilpa Shetty Kundra wedded businessman Raj Kundra in 2009. Together they co-owned the team Rajasthan Royals in the Indian Premier League cricket. They have two kids together; the first is a son Viaan, born on May 21st, 2012; their second child is a daughter Samisha who was born through surrogacy in February 2020.
