Biography
Marty Bent is an editor of newsletters, host of podcasts. There is no information about his birthday, family, relationship status, however it is known that Marty Bent was studying in Chicago, at DePaul University.
Chicago is the place where Marty went to school, university. Chicago gave him lots of opportunities. At the end of his junior year Marty interned at a managed future fund, then in the senior year he was a full-time worker.
Marty first “bumped” into Bitcoin back in 2012. The story began when he was writing a paper on monetary policy for a money and banking class that he was taking. While he was googling he stumbled to a white paper and people who were talking about Bitcoin. At first, he just thought that this might be interesting but at the end of 2012 he noticed that people started writing, talking about it very much. Due to his work at futures funds he got into monetary policy and how central banks crafted. Marty also mentioned that his teacher of economics has led him to the path of observing and learning more to change something about the economy, and due to that Marty started learning more and more about Bitcoin. At first, when he started saying that bitcoin is important and may help in future and that it needs more attention, he got laughed at. After some period of time Marty quitted his job and decided to learn and take some digital designing courses, in order to know how the users love the apps they use and how the apps are generally designed. Marty also worked in a software company, where he learned backend development, this was a great experience and helped him to make his own understanding of Bitcoin.
For now, Marty Bent is an editor in Chief at Marty Bent’s, which is a newsletter dedicated to Bitcoin. Marty is also the host of Tales from the Crypt, a podcast about Bitcoin.
Tales from the Crypt is a daily technology podcast. The podcast has 479 episodes. Marty always invites interesting people and discusses Bitcoin. Some of the guests were Andy Edstrom, who is the financial adviser and investor of WESCAP group, Alex Gladstein, a chief strategy officer at the human rights foundation, Dan Held, who is the co-founder of Interchange and many other interesting people.
