Everyone likes traveling and almost everyone loves pets, especially dogs. Now imagine an Instagram page where these two are combined. This page is called “Loki the Wolfdog” and there are two main heroes here, the dog named Loki and his owner Kelly.
They started their journey in a cold winter in 2012 when Kelly found a malamute, husky dog in a small family breeder. If you look at the pictures of Loki you would notice that he strangely assembles a wolf. Experts state that one of its ancestors (a generation or two ago) were wolves. That is one of the reasons why it gets more interesting to follow his every adventure or commercial. Almost every day Kelly posts on Instagram photos of them in different locations in America. Today on Instagram they have 2M followers, they also have tried to run a YouTube channel but afterwhile decided to stick only to Instagram.
When Kelly found Loki, he started to take a lot of pictures of him and posting them on Instagram, consequently on Kelly’s page there were more pictures of Loki than Kelly himself. So Kelly opened a separate Instagram page for Loki, and surprisingly it gained 50K followers in a year. It goes without saying that Loki was a sensation on the Internet, everyone loved him. Big companies wanted him to be in their commercials. “I and Love and You” was the first one to make a deal with Loki, they gave him all the food he needed in exchange for the occasional posts. After that one, followed collaborations with Mercedes-Benz, Grounds & Hounds Coffee Co. GoPro, Google, and many ongoing ones. Just after 2 years of work they have already gained over 500K followers.
In recent years Loki’s owner Kelly launched e-commerce of dog products and also a book guide on how to deal with challenging dogs, as he faced the same problem when he first met Loki who in his nature is a very naughty species. In the beginning, they don’t listen to commands and tend to do everything they want. Anyways, after some time and effort, they can become one of their best friends.
