Biography
Emre Kenci is a software developer, business builder, co-founder and CTO.
Emre is the Co-Founder of BTCTrader, a Bitcoin exchange that opened in 2013. He previously served as CEO for InsuredPlay, located in Curacao, later he also co-founded this company. InsuredPlay was the first company to offer insurance services for online poker players. Online gaming has been around for decades, but Insuredplay took it one step further by providing coverage and protection against losses in tournaments or cash games no matter where you play them. Kenci is a very versatile individual who has been able to jump from one industry of technology into another. He’s even worked on several software developments as an engineer, with companies such as Nortel Networks, Noventum Consulting and PhonoClick.
BTC Trader, where Emre is the CTO, offers a white-label Bitcoin Exchange solution with liquidity ready and a solution that can be customized in order to work in any currency and in any language! People can also trade across different currencies for an additional fee if you want more flexibility than just Bitcoins. BTCTurk is the first and largest Bitcoin exchange in Turkey. They utilize BTCtrader’s white label platform along with two other exchanges located in Greece, Philippines to offer a seamless user experience for global traders. The combined volume from these regions make up about 40% of all trades made on btcturonks blockchain based platform.
Emre Kenci studied in Bilkent University from 2002 to 2008. Bilkent is a private university located in Ankara, Turkey. Emre is a bachelor of Science, Computer Engineering.
After his graduation Emre started working. His first official work was in Noventum Consulting GmbH. He was working in IT service management and project management consulting engagements with banks and govt. Organizations. Here he worked from May 2008 until October of 2009.
From January 2011, Kenci became the co-founder of InsuredPlay, which we already know as the first online insurance company. It was working as an add-on to the most popular poker apps at the time. InsuredPlay allowed the players to hedge their bets during a hand. They got some traction, over 100K players, but also could not stop losing money. This all ended by January 2013.
From December 2017 until January 2019, Emre worked in Microsoft as a senior software engineer. He helped Microsoft’s strategic financial services customers leverage the latest technologies to build better applications.
Since November 2016, Emre Kenci has been the partner, CTO and CPO of Papara.
Emre Kenci is quite active on social media. He has an Instagram account locksmithcrypto. On Instagram he has over 5000 followers, here he generally posts his photos, photos with his friends and family. On Twitter he has the same username Locksmith. On this platform he has about 194K followers. Emre first joined Twitter back in December 2013. Emre has a Linkedİn account Emre Kenci, and also a YouTube channel LockSmith.
