Layah Heilpern’s love of media and music led to a career in broadcasting, which she pursued at the University of Leeds from 2015 to 2017.  Layah was involved in a variety of extracurricular activities. She was active with both student radio station Leeds Student Radio as well as their television club.

 

Layah had a passion for music that was reflected in her university radio show, Nostalgia Night. It was a hit with listeners. She would focus on one genre and era of music each week to keep listeners interested while bringing them a unique experience they wouldn’t find anywhere else. 

 

Layah has always loved the radio, and she was never one to shy away from a challenge. 

 

Layah’s passion for hosting and producing radio shows was evident early on when she had already mastered all aspects of production values! 

In the summer of 2015, she was employed at Camp Barney Medintz in Georgia, where she ran their popular community station, which teaches kids how to produce high-quality content for themselves as well as others on-air through several programs.

 

Layah Heilpern has always been a talented and versatile journalist with years of experience. She started off interning and working at the BBC before moving on to other projects. She hosted her own show about Stephen Lawerence’s murder while also providing anti-corruption coverage worldwide through Paradise Papers reports.

 

In 2018, Layah began her broadcasting career in a world where cryptocurrencies and blockchains were all anyone talked about. After years of covering the news, she finally took a slightly different path and began her broadcasting career in a world where cryptocurrencies are becoming more popular by the day. Layah became BlockLive TV’s first anchor to report on these topics from Malta.

 

On her new Altcoin Buzz Spotlight program, Layah has interviewed many crypto enthusiasts and specialists since march 2020  to give listeners an inside look.
