Biography

Rolf Jacob Sartorius, better known as Jacob Sartorius, is an American singer and social media star due to his  fame via social media from posting lip-syncing videos on Musical.ly.

 

Sartorius was born in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He was named after his father and grandfather who are both called Rolf. Jacob said that the name Rolf has been a tradition in his family, but he doesn’t like to go by that name. Shortly after his birth, he was adopted and moved to Virginia because his birth parents were unable to take care of him. He was raised in Reston, Virginia by his adoptive parents. In 2017 his lip-syncing videos on Vine became popular and led him to become one of the app’s top stars with more than 8 million followers as of August 2016, before its closure in 2017. Due to these videos, Jacob pretended to become the next Justin Biber. Sartorius’ debut single “Sweatshirt” was released on May 3, 2016, and peaked at the top 90 on the US Billboard Hot 100. er, own way. Jacob’s older sister, Caroline Sartorius, is also an Instagram star. Although she rose to fame for being Jacob Sartorius’ sister, who constantly appeared in his videos, she quickly attracted her own fans with her own. Now, she has over 380,000 followers.

 

Jacob is now in a relationship with Jenna Ortega. Romance first started swirling between Jenna and Jacob after she starred in his 2017 “Chapstick” music video. Jenna was spotted getting super cozy with Jacob in New York City at the time, as they seemingly went on a date together playing carnival games, eating ice cream, and walking across the Brooklyn Bridge together.

But before, Jenna Jacob was in a relationship with famous TikTok star Baby Ariel.
