This lazy pizza lover has over 13 million followers across social media. He is a celebrity dog who has many celebrity friends including Justin Bieber, Ed Sheeran, Steven Tyler, John Legend and Chrissy Teigen, Shakira, and more. He has been called the “king of pop culture,” is a best seller in NYT, and winner of a number of awards.

When his owner Leslie  started Doug’s Instagram account, he was just a cute little guy in an adorable outfit. Nowadays you can find him starring in commercials, touring with celebrities and featured on TV shows like The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. He may be famous for being adorably expressive but that’s not all there is to this dog! He’s also a prolific social media star who has taken over Hollywood by storm and now even stars alongside other well-known personalities such as Reese Witherspoon or John Legend – no pun intended of course. 

All these characteristics have helped him to gain over 13 million followers across social media accounts. Only on Instagram he has almost 4M followers who, with great enthusiasm, are waiting for new posts. Mainly Leslie posts his hilarious pictures, many of which feature him enjoying some of his favorite foods. There are also accounts on Facebook with over 6M audience, 500K on YouTube, 2.6M on Twitter and another 6M on TikTok. 

In 2016, Mosier published a book called Doug the Pug: The King of Pop Culture, which became an instant New York Times bestseller. The book is based on Doug’s life, by the end of reading you feel so much connected with him, as you always lived together. In an interview Leslie once said  that their main goal is to inspire people, “It’s more than just an Instagram account to people, it’s really a family thing.
