Held was born and raised in the state of Texas. He lived there for most of his life, at least until college, when he pursued a degree in business administration and finance! In between playing Linebacker on one team or helping build satellite’s via AggieSAT Lab “Picosatellite,” Held found time to get everything done that was needed before heading off into adulthood.

 

Throughout college and even after graduation, he was the financial analyst intern at Chapwood Capital Investment Management. There, on a daily basis learning about the ins and outs of capital investment analysis from firsthand experience in all things finance with some very seasoned veterans.

 

Dan Held is a data-savvy problem solver who has worked with some of the world’s most influential brands and organizations. 

He started as an analyst at Dunhill Partners, then went on to be VP Asset Management for his subsequent company tenure there before joining Uber, where he is now Global Data Lead PPM alongside being Head Of ASO.

 

Dan had a passion for cryptocurrency, so when the opportunity to work in finance arose, he quit. Working with an old friend and fellow crypto enthusiast from school days on, they developed Zeroblock, which is an app where users can look at real-time market data and news feed aggregator pertaining specifically towards Bitcoins or other cryptocurrencies available everywhere, including iOS devices as well Android phones/tablets.

 

While he’s known for his work as the Director of Product at Blockchain.com, which became Bitcoin’s go-to search engine and browser alike in just a couple of years, Dan has also managed ChangeTip’s mobile product line up with finesse.

 

As the co-founder and director of business development for Picks & Shovels Co., Dan Held has helped grow their company from an idea into a booming enterprise! Dan was also involved early on at Hover when it first started up before co-founding Interchange.
