Crusoe the Dachshund

Crusoe is the type of dog that people think has an endless supply of energy. He’s small, black and tan – but don’t let this fool you! The dachshund actually has more personality than most other dogs, with his high spirits matched only by curiosity for all things new around him.

Crusoe is a warm-hearted dog who can’t help but fascinate everyone he meets. The dachshund has plenty of personality! Crusoe is a dog with an adventurous spirit, and he’s always been known to be one of the most entertaining dogs around.  He was named after Robinson-Crusoe for his deep love for adventure–and at this point, he’s pretty much famous too!

Crusoe is a lucky dog. He has the best managers: his parents, Ryan and Lauren! They’ve been with him from before he started being an influencer and promoting him on social media. And they sure know how it’s done when you look at the number of fans Crusoe has. The little dachshund is active on all types of social media platforms such as Instagram with more than 800 thousand followers, 1.5 million subscribers on YouTube, 1.7 million followers on TikTok. Moreover, Crusoe even has more than 3 million fans on Facebook. As you can see, the tiny dog is quite the celebrity.

After being born in Montreal, Crusoe was then raised near Mont Tremblant. Growing up with the sounds and smells of nature surrounding him made for an adventurous life!  After years of living there, he then moved to Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. Nowadays, Crusoe is still there and has settled down with his parents. 

Every now and then, he takes a weekend trip back to his original home in the country. He also likes visiting Toronto during these times because it’s where his half-brother Oakley lives!

Oakley and Crusoe have the same father but different mothers. They live a long way from each other, so they only get to see each other every couple of months during holidays.

The two dogs are fur-siblings who can not spend all their time together due to the distance! But luckily, this doesn’t stop these guys anyhow: they still manage to have fun, play together and create awesome content whenever they meet.

It is no surprise that Oakley is the perfect addition to Crusoe. He might not be very bright, but he has a heart of gold and never fails to make you smile!

The influencer dachshund is even an author of a self-titled book. His first book was  “Crusoe the Celebrity Dachshund: Adventures of the Wiener Dog Extraordinaire,” which is a New York Times Bestselling book. In 2018, he released his second book, “Crusoe, the Worldly Wiener Dog: Further Adventures with the Celebrity Dachshund.”

Dachshunds are known for being one of the most adorable breeds, but they also face some challenges. One such challenge is IVDD. Thankfully Crusoe had surgery, from which he recovered successfully with the help of his parents Ryan and Lauren. Since then, they have created an entire page about this issue, so other dog-owners can learn how they too could care for their pup!
