At the age of only 16, Benjyfishy had already distinguished himself as one of esports’ most promising players. He is a professional Fortnite player and is under contract with NRG.  Benjyfishy got all eyes on him as he continues to make a name for himself in Fortnite and esports, but what exactly lies behind this young prodigy?

 

 

Benjamin Fishy is a pro-Fortnite player who’s rapidly becoming one of the best in the world, and he first caught on just before The 2019 World Cup. At that time, NRG recognized Benjamin’s potential; bringing him into their team helped make them even better! Hailing from Surrey, England, he made headlines before even playing Fortnite professionally because of this incredible gaming skill that has been refined over many hours of playing video games. 

 

His mother even took him out of school so his boy could spend more time on Fortnite. Since then, it’s gone exceptionally well for Benjyfishy.

He has only just begun to take off in the gaming world, and maybe if you give him another few years, he’ll be dominating all other players!

 

Benjy and his buddy MrSavage qualified for the 2019 final with ease, becoming one of the most feared duos in attendance. They both made it to solo finals too! In New York, they finished 14th as a duo, while Benjy came 25th when he went up against larger competitors by himself during preliminary rounds. Not bad, considering he won $ 100,000 just like that. Benjy is off on an amazing start! In 2020, he finished 10th with his team during the World Cup. Things went similarly well for him at the FNCS Squads, where they even reached 2nd place and won $120,000 together as a team.

 

If you watch Benjy play, it is impossible not to be impressed by his skills. In the final of Dreamhack, he put on a one-of-a-kind performance that left everyone speechless and fans celebrating him today as well! With a quality that one would expect from an established player, Benjyfishy is also dedicated to entertaining his audience. He posts videos almost every day on YouTube and already has over 1.6 million followers!

 

It’s only natural that a person who has achieved so much success at such an early age would be vain and self-centered. But Benjy is anything but this! Not only did he make up his mind to buy a house for his mother with prize money earned from tournaments. And that’s what he did. Benjy is also regularly involved in charity campaigns and shows that he likes to give something back. 

 

However, Benjy knows that the days of easy money are over, and Fortnite isn’t producing enough for him to keep up. He worries about this game slowly fading away like so many other fads before it. With prize money shrinking to almost nothing, it’s becoming harder than ever before just trying to make ends meet from Fortnite alone!  With fewer tournaments in circulation, there are fewer fun competitions between players. As a result, many players have turned towards YouTube, Twitch, or other platforms where they can entertain people by sharing their skills.
