Once she said that it was scary when you first started, but when she feels a little fear that is when she knows that she is in the right place.
Cristina is a very caring and kind person. She has shown this through her interview with the way she cares about nature and everything around us as well as people’s feelings.
To the question:” What do you strive to achieve with your images?” she answered-I am making an emotional impact on someone by showing them something very beautiful. I want my images to make people care.I want people to move away from apathy and into action. I Want people to be so overwhelmed by emotion that they are inspired to, first of all, be aware of what impact their choices have on our environment and then make some changes. I want my images to communicate a story of hope by capturing a glimpse into the lives of my subjects, whether that be human, animal or environment, and I want my images to emphasize humanity. If my works can inspire an army of people who care, then I have done my job.
Funny fact is that she calls all the little voices in her head, the”Peanut Gallery”, and they are constantly telling her to be cautious, to stay in her comfort zone, and to take the safe route. She came into photography by accident. It is a better way to communicate on our planet and photography just turned out to be a tool that was very well-suited for that job. She has always wanted to change the world and find more justice for people. The tough part about her job is accurately reading other’s emotions. Her paintings are like a window to nature. They help us see all the beauty and uniqueness on our planet, as well as how deeply humans can feel emotions.
