Beta Squad

The Beta Squad is known and famous for being a group of five English YouTubers; Niko Omilana, Chunkz, Aj Shabeel, Sharky and KingKennyTv. They created the Beta Squad back on February 14, 2019. The group members announced that they were starting the group and were moving into a mansion together on February 22, 2019 on their social media. Chunkz, AJ, and Sharky are of Somali descent while Kenny and Niko are of Nigerian descent.

 

 

Beta Squad is a group which is based in London, England. The videos of this group contain mainly Challenges, which they do series such as “Who can “, “$10 vs $10,000” and “Last to” videos. Their most viewed video is “We Pretended To Work At The Grocery Store (Fake Employee Prank)” which has gotten more than 3 million views. They have their own Football club called “Beta squad Fc”. They had a game in September, 2019 against Yung Filly’s team “Afillyates Club de Futbol”. (Afillyates winning). They stopped posting in August of 2019 but uploaded again in February of 2020 and then took a break due to lockdown. They began posting regularly in October the same year and they continue posting till now. The very first video which was uploaded to the YouTUbe channel of Beta Squad is called “ INTRODUCING… Beta Squad” which was posted back on February 22, 2019. As for now, this video has more than 708 thousand views, there are over 25 thousand likes and about 1.5 thousand comments. 

 

Getting back to the history of their YouTube channel we can say that this group has a presence on this platform for more than 4 years. The channel was created back on February 15, 2019. As of March 2022 the channel of Beta Squad has more than 2.49 million subscribers, on the channel there are about 42 uploaded videos and over 144 million total number of views. 

 

The members Chunkz and Sharky started making videos together in 2015. Aj was chunkz cameraman until he started appearing in their videos a few weeks later. Niko and Kenny were making videos on their own channels. Kenny and Niko were friends at this time. Niko met Chunkz in 2016 and they started collaborating together. They all knew each other in 2016. 

 

In early 2019 they moved into a mansion in Watford, London. Where they filmed their challenge videos. They mostly filmed their videos in the public and they get recognised often. When they introduced Betasquad and its members, fans wanted YouTubers like Darkest Man, Yung Filly, Loai and Johnny Carey to join the group.

The Beta Squad is gaining subscribers and enlarging their online family day by day. A fun fact: the Beta Squad  have been mentioned by the Sidemen on their second channel videos.
